Registering People to Vote

So through the NCSA Active Students group, we got 1,000 voter registration forms and set up a table in the Pickle Jar. I sat at the table today for an hour and a half and was quite shocked that many people didn't know they could vote, nor had their parents registered. I was even more surprised about the people who could vote but didn't want to even register! We also sold baked goods (which I helped make last night) to raise money for recycling bins in the dorms and more efficient light bulbs in the Connector building. So far, we made $80! =]

Global Warming Tickets

So I went around ticketing SUVs and trucks with global warming tickets, sharing how their cars are killing the Earth. One of the cars was actually an NCSA ballet teacher, Mr. Smith.
...it was kinda awkward....
oh well.

12 Hours in Walmart

After spending 12 hours in Walmart, We felt extremely drained. Beforehand, it seemed like it would be an easy task. I mean, we were staying in a store with about every inanimate object ever imagined in it. However, it seemed like once we were there, all we wanted to do was go to sleep. And if there's one thing we realized Walmart didn't sell, it's mattresses. We still had fun though and managed to do several odd things (most likely illegal....) to pass the time.
